Itinerary Culture Tour (JC-003)

Day 1: Arrival Yangon

Arrive at Yangon international airport, you will meet and welcome by local guide and transfer to Hotel.  Yangon city tour, Highlight; such as Sule the elegant one in earlier name was Kyaik-A-thote and it was probably built by Mon king. Botahtaung pagoda which is not the original the ancient pagoda was destroyed by bombing during World War Two and a replica built in its place. Relics excavated from the treasure chamber were re-enshrined. After lunch, visit to (Scott’s market) Bogyoke market (check before for closed day), which is a large and very busy market palace in the heart of downtown Yangon. In the evening we will go to Shwedagon pagoda, which is landmark of Myanmar. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Yangon – Sittwe – Mrauk U

After breakfast, transfer to airport and flight to Sittwe. Arrive Sittwe,  transfer to jetty and boat to Mrauk U. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Mrauk U

After breakfast, explore ancient city Mrauk U. Highlights are Museum, Shitthaung Pagoda, Andaw Thein Temple, Yatanabon Temple, Htukkan Thein Temple Ordination hall and Lay Myek Hna Temple. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Mrauk U

Enjoy breakfast at hotel and visit to Koethaung Pagoda, the name means 90,000 and it represents the number of Buddha images contain. Also visit to Shwe Gu Taung, and Sakya Man Aung Pagoda. Then visit to Chin tattoo villages by boat or by car. When we explore around Chin tribe villages, you will see warmly and friendly villagers and famous Chin women with tattooed faces, a fading tradition. Return back to Mrauk U and relax. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Mrauk U – Sittwe

After breakfast, take boat to Sittwe. The rest of the day is to explore Sittwe. Highlights; the hundred-year-old Shwe Zedi Kyaung, a famous monastery in Sittwe. It was the monastery of U Ottama, who was the first political monk in Myanmar. Later on, visit to War Bo Village by speed boat to observe the amazing art of centuries-old hand-weaving centers of Rakhine, approxi: 1 Hr-boat-ride on each way. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Sittwe – Yangon

After breakfast, fly back to Yangon. The rest of the day is free to explore colonial architecture in the heart of the city and have opportunities to take a photograph of ex-capital of Myanmar. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 6: Yangon Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Yangon International airport for departure.
